uvFreshr™ Mini

All uvFreshr devices emit the germicidal 253.7 nm wavelength of UVC light with sufficient Intensity to kill/inactivate at least 99.9% of viruses and bacteria within their Effective Ranges and Manual-recommended Exposure times.  This has been verified in-house with professional UVC254 meters and third-party validated by Laboratory testing at the University of Guelph, quote, 

“… uvFreshr Mini exposure for 15 minutes at a distance of 4-10 inches is effective in reducing E.coli or S.aureus by >99.99%” 

All uvFreshr devices have a built-in Safety Sensor to automatically turn off the UVC Light Bulb(s) when humans/pets are at risk of UVC Exposure. 

The Safety Sensor in uvFreshr Mini temporarily shuts off the UVC Light Bulb for ~ 10 seconds when movement is detected. 

Nevertheless, while added safety precautions have been taken to protect humans and pets, germicidal ultraviolet rays are harmful to the eyes and skin.  So please heed all Warning and Cautionary statements included in the Manual(s), especially to avoid exposure to direct or reflected germicidal ultraviolet rays. 

Cleaners & Disinfectants

While cleaners & disinfectants may be convenient and effective antibacterial solutions, they may not be as safe as generally thought.  Some cleaners may leave toxic fumes and chemical residues behind as they evaporate and can be dangerous to health [1] [2] [3].  And many of these liquids/powders irreversibly dissolve in wastewater and accumulate in fresh, salt & ground water and soil, having a substantial and negative effect on drinking water quality and the environment [4] [5].  Unlike cleaners & disinfectants, uvFreshr devices kill/inactivate 99.9% of viruses and bacteria on surfaces and in spaces with no harmful chemical residues or vapors or harm to the environment.  All uvFreshr devices are rechargeable which saves money in the long run as well.

Other UVC Germicidal Devices

Unfortunately, many devices on the consumer market, claiming to be germicidal are not as effective and/or safe as claimed, for various reasons.  For example, some UV Devices do not emit UVC and are not as germicidal, if at all.  Even UVC wands are not typically 99.9% effective, as sweeping them over an area does not allow the necessary time for a 99.9% effective UVC Dose to accumulate at that area.  The uvFreshr solution is to light it and leave it to ensure that that a 99.9% effective UVC Dose is administered.

On the other hand, many legitimate UVC devices are unsafe because they don’t have built-in safety features to mitigate the risk of UVC exposure to humans and pets, which can damage cells.  Furthermore, some UVC devices actively produce Ozone gas which is harmful to breathe and can linger for up to 2 hours after the UVC light has shut off.  uvFreshr Mini, uvFreshr Germ and uvFreshr Pod do not actively produce Ozone and so it is always safe to occupy the room when the UVC light is off.  All uvFreshr products have Safety Sensors which automatically turn off the UVC Light Bulb(s) when people are at risk of UVC exposure.

Because uvFreshr Mini is pocket-sized, it is ideal for 99.9% sanitizing personal belongings and spaces within a 2-foot diameter, even on the go.  The Auto Repeat Mode and provided removeable fasteners lend themselves well to effortlessly 99.9% sanitize a particular space every day. 

uvFreshr Germ is larger and more powerful; 99.9% sanitizing personal belongings and spaces within a 6-foot diameter.  The UVC Light Bulb can be allowed to shine bi-directionally by sliding the Panel at the back of the Device down, or uni-directionally (in front of the Device), by sliding the Panel up and clicking it into place.  uvFreshr Germ is fully schedulable, allowing you to set Exposure duration, repeat and schedule delay. 

uvFreshr Pod is ideal for those customers who do not wish to leave the room during the Exposure and wish to 99.9% sanitize all around personal belongings.
