QUALITY AND TESTING

Working continuously in consistently wet environments presents an interesting challenge for electronics, and the Giddel Toilet Cleaning Robot is no exception. Because of the wet and acidic conditions created by toilets and toilet bowl cleaners, and wear and tear due to cyclical loading on all components, performing reliably poses unique challenges. That’s why the quality of Giddel, is a top priority at Altan Robotech. A series of rigorous tests is performed before Giddel makes its way to your bathroom.

Giddel undergoes stringent testing before we ship it to your home

Each robot rolling off the assembly line is tested in a state-of-the-art facility where Giddel is manufactured; the range of motion of the robotic arm and function of all electronic and mechanical components is tested for every Giddel coming off the assembly line, to confirm functionality and correct assembly. Furthermore, one sample in every batch of 1,000 robots is subjected to full durability testing that must exceed 350 cleaning cycles of approximately five minutes in duration. This is the equivalent of cleaning three toilets a week for over two years.

Third-party Certifications

While the above internal tests are formal and conclusive, Altan Robotech also highly values the importance of product Certification by unbiased, accredited and renowned third-party organizations respected worldwide. Giddel has earned the following Certifications, including:

CE: This certification indicates Giddel conforms with health, safety, and environmental protection standards for products sold within the European Economic Area (EEA).

FCC: This mark on Giddel certifies that the electromagnetic interference from the robot is under limits approved by the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This certification required compliance testing of Giddel, which was then reviewed and approved by the Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB).

IC: To earn this seal of approval, Giddel underwent testing in the Certification and Engineering Bureau of Industry Canada labs. The tests verified that Giddel meets Canadian regulations.

SGS: Giddel is also certified by SGS, which demonstrates that it is compliant with national and international regulations and standards. The SGS is a global testing Institution that tested Giddel for cleaning efficacy of the toilet bowl.
